From getting bags full of medicines and tonics from every doctor to swearing not to enter a hospital and being completely medicine free since the last 10 months, what changed? Let's find out.

My battle with PCOD began early on, I have visited five different doctors, what I dreaded more than anything was the gynecologists' visits, Imagine going to a gynecologists' with your parents and they do a pregnancy test! It was such an embarrassing memory etched in me. They never came positive, but the doctors would prescribe contraceptives without informing us. I was shocked when my weight started increasing, and my life was tossed upside down!

After realizing that the further downfall in my health was due to the side effects of medication, I decided to throw away all my bags full of medicines and switch to naturopathy, and Ayurveda. I was hoping for my disease reversal but all I got was at least two new bags full of weird-smelling tonics and herbal concoctions. Having them made me feel puckish and I was burning up from within. My search for pills and potions free solution was still on.
After somehow struggling with all of these health issues and finishing my education, i was ready to leap into my professional life and move to Bangalore for a new job, that's when i suddenly started getting severe poking pain in my middle back, it did not come just once or twice, but every single time, my family dismissed it as a gastric issue. It kept getting worse every time, it got so unbearable that I could not even lie down, sit or stand.
When I went to the doctor, it turned out to be a severe deficiency of vitamin D- what should ideally be 30 was 9 in my case, the doctor said my middle spine bone density was so low that if he would beat my back once, my backbone would fracture! And he asked me “are you really going to move to Bangalore in such a condition?” It was a tough decision for me, not to mention the lack of ample sunlight in cloudy Bangalore. I braced myself with all forms of vitamin D supplement hoping they would help me recover.
Despite taking a supplement every week for two years, that is over 200 pills, the vitamin level had barely crawled up to 11. My PCOD related problems were still haunting me and if i had to continue working, I had to rely on a bunch of pills, what made it worse was that i was allergic to antibiotics, every time I had them, I would get rashes all over. Every month I would get fever, cough and cold which lasted at least for 5 days.
I was the only employee who exhausted the medical allowance and spent a considerable amount every month on my pills, nobody my age was taking as many pills as me.
Pills & potion free solution
One look at Satvic Movement’s “Juice-on” video on Instagram and I knew I had to give it a try. I attended the very next Juice Fasting on 28th April 2020, that was the turning point in my life, the first day was challenging but soon I learnt about what is going on in my body and decided to religiously follow the lifestyle, within the three days, i noticed a lot of changes in my body- there was a glow on my face and peace of mind within, that’s when i started to follow the routine for the next one month.
My daily routine looked like this:
At 5:30 AM, I would wake up feeling fresh, and I further freshen up.
Then, around 6:00, I drink tender coconut water or ash gourd juice to flush out any remaining toxins from my gut, then around
6:30 AM I start doing yoga on my terrace, after a nice yoga session, around 7:00 I apply wet pack before getting on with my work

At 7:20, I remove the wet-pack and do the enema to flush out all the toxins that yoga and wet pack have gathered from every corner of my body. Then I carry on with my work.
Around 9:30 AM, I again head to the terrace and get my dose of loving sunshine for half an hour
10:00 - I head back home and have anyone fruit for breakfast, be it papaya or banana, or any fruit in season.
At around 11 or 11:30, I have a glass full of a refreshing vegetable juice like ABC or green juice.
At around 2:00 I have my Satvic sabzi and colourful Satvic roti.
I have my dinner by 6:30 PM which usually is either a Satvic salad or any Satvic soup- I have tried every single Satvic soup from the Food Book and love them all!

Within the first month of religiously following it, I got a solid proof my vitamin D had sky-rocketed to 63!! taking over 200 pills was not 1/10th as effective as one month of sun-bathing, half an hour a day! This was the only proof I needed to stick to the lifestyle!
This lifestyle is like the goose that lays a golden egg everyday-be it clearing my acne, adding glow to my face, weight loss of 9 kilos, regular periods, the complete absence of my PMS related and bowel-related issues. Or just the happiness and peace-filled life, I have not spent a single rupee on any medicine for ages now, and nor do I ever plan to!
On a day to day basis, I am saving a lot more time in the kitchen, that is helping me dedicate more time to my work and other activities, I generally feel happy and relaxed.
