Poornima heals PCOD of 2 years in 2 months

Kerala, labelled as one of the ten paradises of the world by National Geographic, would be a dream place to be for anyone. And yet, life was anything but beautiful for this 22 year old, crumbled in her own pain, college student, Ms Poornima. After losing hundreds of hair strands in the shower, thousands of rupees at shuffling among various doctors, and millions of moments worrying about how to fix her now detected illness, Ms Poornima did not have much joy left in her to be able to appreciate the paradise she lived in. If anything, she felt hell had resided on earth, and she was given the master bedroom and special detention in it. Until one day, while doing her daily youtube research on how to cure PCOD, she landed on a “3 ways to detox your body” video. After 1.5 years of struggle and having nothing work for her, she thought the answer had finally arrived.

However, the answer was definitely not what she had anticipated. Why was she taken aback? Come, let's find out!

“Having never really had junk food, a total health freak, and studying yoga therapy as my masters education, can you imagine my frustration when I was told I too had PCOD? How was that even possible?”

Life after PCOD

A hair on the head is worth two on the brush. But what happens when there are no hair on the head and all on the brush?
No end could be more horrifying for a 22 year old with her whole life ahead. Every time I entered the shower, I felt like crying looking at the hair that fell off.

Periods had mysteriously gone on vacation without any prior notice. And after 4 months of sitting by the window waiting for them, I finally decided to visit a doctor and get a flyer printed “Period Missing. If seen please contact Ms. Poornima.”

Turns out, the solution wasn't as simple. One doctor led to the other. Ayurveda led to homeopathy. Homeopathy led to Allopathy. Allopathy led to sleepless nights, anxiety filled days, rooms filled with the smell of medications and absolute lack of energy to do anything. I couldn't help but ask the same question again, and again - WHY? WHY ME?

Never eating junk food, what did I do to get PCOD? It was almost like a 40 year old dying of lung cancer, despite not having had a single cigarette in his entire life. And then one can't help but think “Might as well have had those cigarettes”I too was thinking “Might as well have had those chips”Until one day I landed on just the right video which told me exactly what I had been doing wrong all my life.

An Epiphany

The video by Satvic Movement made me realize it wasn't just about eating right, but a lot more to do with how we are built as human beings. If we keep watering a plant relentlessly each morning and each night, its sure to survive. Right? But here’s a catch - it isn't kept out in the open, but instead put inside a closet, enclosed without any air, sunlight or space. Isn't it bound to die?

And here I was wondering what did I do wrong to get PCOD. I too, like that plant, was watering myself, but all that while confining myself to the closest, always staying indoors, never bothering to get sunlight, or fresh air. To top it all, the water that I previously thought as “good” had these hidden germs all along- dairy, processed grains, frequent meals all through the day, starting from as early as 7:30am to as late as 9:30pm, and stimulants like tea and coffee.

If I had to change how my life was, I had to change my ways of living too.

And that is where my journey of coming out of that enclosed closet, right into the arms of nature, began.

Life without PCOD

October 2020, I got inspired and made a few changes. I started my days with ash gourd juice, had fruits for breakfast, satvic grain meal in the afternoon, and ended the day with a salad, making sure I follow the principle of 16 hour fasting. At first I was filled with doubt that how would I overcome my habit of constant snacking, but to my surprise, in less than a week, my hunger patterns changed. I could easily go to 10 am in the morning without really feeling hungry. Maybe it was all the sunrays and pranayama that I had started doing early morning which was filling my body and giving me all kinds of energy.

Enema however was a strict no-no by my parents. They were too scared to let me try it, and so was I. So the whole of October I had not tried the enema, and the wet pack too was done only for a week in the middle.

However, when I started seeing my body change, and witnessing these new feelings of being alive again, I was too tempted to try out the enema and see if it is going to fasten the process even more. I was completely taken aback when I did the enema for the first time. Not only was it so easy to do, but I felt like I had been carrying something tucked around my stomach for a long time, and suddenly it's now gone. I felt so light.

I stuck to it for 21 days straight, accompanying it with my daily dose of wet pack. I was happily witnessing all the waste leaving my body.

For the first time in 1.5 years, I had left medication. And November 2020, i.e. exactly 2 months from the day I began the Satvic way of life, I got my periods. And in my heart I knew that this was probably the first time my period was not artificially induced through medication, and came only naturally. Ever since, I’ve been completely off of medication, and have been having my periods each month regularly.

While I was only hoping for the video to give me an answer on ‘why me’, what it ended up doing was turning this hell into a beautiful heaven on earth again.

I can't help but feel blessed!

Author's note

Ms Poornima was detected with PCOD in early 2019. While medications did induce periods in her, it ended up taking away all the spark from her life. Finally she decided to change things and came across our video in October. From October until today, she has been following the lifestyle and a pain-free period has been visiting her each month.

She has also gotten her family to experience the joy of this lifestyle. Yoga with her brother, and a satvic meal with her parents, are a few small steps that she's currently taking towards it.

If you too wish to say goodbye to those dull days, heaps of medication, and constant worry about what may lie in future, then we invite you to experience the satvic way of living by joining us for our Health Transformation Workshop, and witness all those troubles run away quicker than Usain Bolt runs his tracks.
