At the age of 13, Subah was diagnosed with multiple health issues and was prescribed numerous medications. After years of taking medication, the problems persisted and she thought that this was how her life was going to be.
At 17, a ray of hope appeared when her father took her to a 4-day natural healing camp. Though the lifestyle was unfamiliar, Subah decided to give it a try, as nothing else had worked.
Within three months of following the new lifestyle, Subah's thyroid issues, PCOD and hair fall completely stopped. It felt like she had regained control of her health, giving her a second chance at life.
Under the guidance of her father, she dropped out of school in class 11 and embarked on a journey to learn more about this natural healing science. She locked herself in a room for 2 years and delved deep into the study of natural health.
Later, she travelled to multiple health institutes and culinary training centres across India and the US, dedicating herself to study.
When she finally felt ready, she launched her first video sharing this knowledge, which was uploaded on YouTube on August 24th, 2017, titled ‘Super Easy Detox Salad Recipes’.
As people began benefiting from the teachings, the news of the channel spread, leading to its initial growth. Soon after, Subah held a workshop in the basement of her aunt's home in Delhi for 40 women eager to learn about the Satvic lifestyle.
This led to many more workshops being hosted in Delhi and Mumbai with hundred’s of people attending and tickets being sold way in advance. Somewhere quietly, behind the scenes of these events, a health movement was on the rise. Later, this movement was named ‘Satvic Movement’.
During one workshop in Mumbai, Subah met Harshvardhan, who ran the health centre in Mumbai where the workshop was held.
Harshvardhan had chronic sinusitis from birth and developed psoriasis at 10. Regular doctor visits and prescriptions for sprays, steroids, and antibiotics were part of his life. After 15 years of suffering, he discovered the concept of using food as medicine.
He decided to try it, and within days, he could breathe freely without steroids or antibiotics. This revelation inspired him to share the healing power of food with others, leading him to open two natural health centres in Mumbai, one of which hosted the workshop where he met Subah.
When then the two of them met, they realised that the aim they both had in the hearts was the same: to spread the knowledge that they had received. They knew they could achieve this faster together, so they united their efforts and became a powerful force leading the Satvic Movement.
Today, along with 50 Satvic team members, Subah and Harshvardhan host online workshops for tens of thousands of people and have an online community of over 10 million people.
In just a few short years, Satvic Movement has quickly exploded into a thriving community of thousands of people across India, becoming one of the largest health revolutions in the nation.
